NATURE RIGHT OUTSIDE

When stepping outside your home you easy access to nature experiences. Den Grønne Fatning is not far from some of Herlev’s beautiful natural areas, Smørmosen and Fedtmosen. Allthough the areas are close to the city they are still rich in wildlife. F.x. hares thrive in the 70-hectare area. You can also see deer, hedgehogs and birds of prey as well as take some glorious walks using the trail systems. Herlev also had a number of park that you and your family can use for sports and leisure. Elverparken and Hospitalsparken f.x. are not far from Den Grønne Fatning.

You are also allowed to fish in all the municipality lakes. In Herlev you can have the sense of being in the countryside even though you are only 14km from the Town Hall Square in Copenhagen.

Herlev is the third smallest municipality in Denmark, measured by area. Herlev started as a small village and the area still has a bit of a village atmosphere to it with a good and safe community.

But at the same time, Herlev is also a completely modern neighbor to the capital. One of Denmark’s newest shopping centers, BIG, is located in Herlev. One kilometer from Den Grønne Fatning. It has the largest stores of any shopping center in Denmark. BIG Bio in Herlev has the country’s most modern sound system and best seats for an amazing cinema experience, and the shopping center in Herlev City Center is only 850 meters away. You can always get your bearings from Herlev Hospital which is the tallest building in Denmark with its 120 meters.

Herlev has 5 municipal schools, 3 private schools and 22 kindergartens. Herlev Byskole is located only 1km away and the integrated daycare institutions Solstrålen and Kagsmosen are approx. 800 meters away from Herlev’s new residential area. The institutional rates in Herlev are below the national average. Private daycare in Herlev has been one of the first in Denmark to be DGI certified. All private day care workers in the municipality have attended a DGI course in training children’s motor skills with everyday things that can be found in every home.

LEISURE IN HERLEV

Practice popular sports such as football, handball, ice hockey and tennis at the leisure center Tvedvangen approx. 3km from Den Grønne Fatning. Herlev is a sports municipality so you will definately find the activity that suits you best. Whether you are into horse riding, diving or maybe floor ball and martial arts, Herlev is the place you can practice it all and much more.

You can also meet up with friends for a game of golf at Hjortespring Golf Club. Only 5 km away.

OPTIMAL TRAFFIC CONDITIONS

Herlev has close to optimal traffic conditions. As a resident of Den Grønne Fatning you get to work, leisure activities and all other places quick and easy. It is not far from the motorway, the ring road or the S-train from Herlev station. The busses run often and regularly and the planned light rail will have its flag stop a few hundred meters from Den Grønne Fatning.
